In a recent announcement by the Hon'ble Chief Secretary of Rajasthan, Sudhansh Pant, on March 11, 2024, it was revealed that the state has witnessed an overwhelming response to the PM Surya Ghar scheme, with over 1 lakh registrations already pouring in.
The Union Cabinet approved the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana on February 29, 2024. With an allocation of over ₹75,000 crore, the scheme aims to provide financial assistance through capital subsidies, facilitating the installation of rooftop solar panels and granting up to 300 units of free electricity every month to approximately 1 crore households across India.
